Kissing Gates along A362

We have been able to fulfil one of the practical suggestions for improvement of our fields mentioned by shareholders when share certificates were handed out after the fields purchase.

Two kissing gates were installed to access the top large field; one just before the footpath along the A362 disappears near the FROME town sign, and the second after the footpath has reappeared where the hedge finishes towards the Jack's Lane junction.

Walkers can now enter through a gate, and proceed along the inside of the hedge, and exit by the next gate, thereby avoiding the extremely dangerous section of the A362 without a footpath.

Comments from five people were very positive during the installation.

The two kissing gates are sponsored by Mendip Ramblers, and by our shareholder Laurence Elton, who is also a member of the Mendip Ramblers team which completed the work with serious assistance from Ian M.         Many thanks to all involved.
