IMPORTANT REQUEST FOR HELP

Dear SOS Whatcombe Fields Shareholders

To maintain the diversity of the fields, we need your help. We are holding two thistle-pulling mornings, from 10.00am to 1.00pm, (meeting at the Vernal Lane entrance to the fields) on Sunday 30th April
(see report below date 30.4.23) and Saturday 27th May (see report below date 27.5.23)

And an extra session on 30th July, also notified by Mailchimp (added to 27.5.23)

This will be an easy and fun job: we can even have a 'Number of Thistles Pulled' competition!

Please wear sturdy boots and appropriate clothing. Bring gloves and knives if you have them; we do have some gloves if needed.

If you have any questions, please call Jenny on 07760 313305.

Regards,
Steve Small on behalf of the Directors

31 March 2020Cattle Back In The Grazing Area

We have had the first ten cattle in the Fields grazing area for a few days now. So far they seem to have been in the Cooper Hall Field and in the privately owned fields along the riverbank and along Whatcombe Road.

On entrances to the grazing area a notice has been affixed, which contains appropriate advice.

Perhaps due to the corona-virus restrictions, there are many new visitors to the SOS Whatcombe Fields who are interested (at a distance!) to ask about routes to walk.
